Your Maximum Leader wishes he had the time and energy to expound further on the Act of Union. But he does not.
Instead, he will leave you with this link to a wire report about Tony Blair warning Scots that moves for independence are bad ones (although popular).
Your Maximum Leader happens to agree with Blair, and Gordon Brown, that Scottish independence will not likely benefit the Scots. At least the Scots wouldn’t benefit in the way that many claim they would benefit. (Start off with North Sea oil… Many Scottish Nationalists assume that England would just “give” Scotland all the North Sea oil because the North Sea is closer to Scotland… Ha! Likely that happening…)
